The Dungeon Entrance
In the First Quest, the Dragon dungeon is located a few screens after crossing the Graveyard; therefore, this is the closest dungeon to the whereabouts of Ganon. In the Second Quest, it's instead located in the southeastern portion of the Graveyard, but it will appear only through the sweet music of the recorder.
First Quest
Like the fourth dungeon (Snake), it's yellow-colored, but it's significantly more difficult because it introduces the Wizzrobes, both in red and in blue varieties. A three-headed Gleeok is featured as a mini-boss in this dungeon, being more difficult to beat than the two-headed variation that served as the boss of the Snake labyrinth. The dungeon as a whole is often considered the most difficult level in the game aside from Ganon's own Death Mountain Labyrinth, especially if Link does not yet possess the Magical Sword.
The dungeon item is the Magic Rod, an enigmatic device that can shoot energy waves not unlike those of the Wizzrobes, which makes defeating them much easier than with the sword. The boss is Gohma, which makes its debut in the Zelda series in this dungeon.
Second Quest
In the Second Quest, the labyrinth has a similar architecture, the bricks are once again yellow-colored, and the same enemy catalogue is expected. It is the first dungeon in the Second Quest not shaped like a letter. The dungeon houses the Stepladder, and it's slightly easier than its First Quest counterpart because of its reduced size. The boss is a blue Gohma (meaning that Link will have to have collected the Bow from the Lizard dungeon to retrieve the sixth fragment of the Triforce), which takes more shots from Link's arrows to die than a normal Gohma.
