The Desert Palace is the second dungeon in the Light World in A Link to the Past.
It is located in the south-west corner in a large desert. The main treasure is the Power Glove. The end boss is Lanmolas. After defeating them you receive a Heart Container and the Pendant of Power.
Access is granted by using the Book of Mudora to read the inscription on the stone that is placed on a small square with three statues surrounding it. This will move the statues around so that you can continue towards the dungeon. Around ¾ of the way through the dungeon, Link must actually exit out one of the stone heads and use the Power Glove to venture toward the boss. This feature of exiting a dungeon entirely in order to progress further is shared with the Spirit Temple and the Skull Dungeon.
