Appearing in Oracle of Ages, Deku Forest is found in the southwest corner of Labrynna. The forest only appears in the past; its present equivalent is Fairy Woods. Contradictory to its name, there are few Deku Scrubs or anything else related to the Deku culture found in the area.

After Link completes the first dungeon, he catches wind that Queen Ambi is looking for Mystery Seeds, and will personally meet with anyone who delivers them to her. At this early stage of the game, this is the only place such seeds can be obtained, but a maze prevents Link from reaching them easily.
