Death Bug is the boss of the Hero's Shrine dungeon in Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland. Tingle will have to destroy this creature to continue on his journey. It is a large insectoid creature that has a variety of attacks, including the ability shoot out energy balls and strike out with long vines. It can be defeated by throwing multiple Tingle Bombs at the head atop it's body. After being destroyed, it will yield 1,000 Rupees.[1] and the Leaf Rupee.
Although not confirmed, Pinkle seems to suggest that the Ultra Death Bug is the same entity reborn. This is evidenced by the fact that the head atop the body seems to remain consistent throughout it's transformations, and later reveals itself to be a parasitic entity. Also, in the Auros Ruins, where statues of all the monsters that held the Super Rupees appear, only one statue is used to represent both bosses.
