The Deadrock is a rock-based creature that makes its home on the summit of Death Mountain in A Link to the Past. They resemble small mammalian creatures with tiny wings, although they have never been seen flying, so the wings are a questionable evolutionary trait. The Deadrock is an invincible creature, although it can be slowed down and stopped in order to escape it. When the Deadrock is hit with weapons such as a sword, it will morph into an impenetrable rock statue, and stay that way for a few moments before it transforms back into its normal, mobile form. This is the cue for intruders to escape the menace. If you sprinkle Magic Powder on a Deadrock it will turn into a Slime.
