Congo Jungle is Donkey Kong's stage in Super Smash Bros. It is a small stage featuring two stationary platforms at the top-left and top-right, and two smaller platforms in the middle, rotating around each other like a ferris wheel. This level also makes an appearance as an unlockable stage in Super Smash Bros. Melee. The actual spelling is Kongo Jungle (To signify that it is the home of the Kongs), however in Super Smash Bros., the name was spelled incorrectly to match the real world location. It is uncertain why this happened, but most likely do to translation errors.

Kongo Jungle is a jungle that covers the majority of Donkey Kong Island in the Donkey Kong series. It is the first area in Donkey Kong Country, and is where the home of Donkey Kong resides, as well as his precious Banana Hoard, which is often stolen by King K. Rool and his minions. It is speculated whether the area of which Donkey Kong's house stands, in Donkey Kong 64, is infact Kongo Jungle or that Jungle Japes is its new location, as it bears some resemblance.

Congo Jungle has a main platform that indents in the center with two slanted, floating platforms in the upper right and left parts of the stage. The stage also features two rotating platforms in the stage, rotating moving in a clockwise manner and a moving Barrel Cannon at the bottom stage. When the arrow on the Cannon is lined up with the direction you want to be fired at, press the 'A' button to be shot in said direction. The main platform is also passable from below, making it easier to recover.

Super Smash Bros. Melee

In Super Smash Bros. Melee, another Kongo Jungle stage was introduced. The platform is a mass of logs tied together like a raft which floats in front of a rapid flowing waterfall. Aside from the main platform there are four floating platforms and a small rock platform at the bottom right of the stage. The jungle and a house, which appears to be Donkey Kong's Tree House or Crankey Kong's House. Occasionally, a Klap Trap will come along on the waterfall and may jump in the floating Barrel Cannon (which acts similar to the one from the original stage) below, to prevent players from using it to recover back to the stage. Sometimes a log will float down to the waterfall as well, which can be used as a platform. Also in Super Smash Bros. Melee is the old version of Kongo Jungle (now with the correct spelling) from the previous Super Smash Bros. game, which can be unlocked by surviving Fifteen-Minute Melee.
