Nookipedia is an independent wiki, owned by Jake, that covers all aspects of Nintendo's Animal Crossing series and relevant spin-offs, such as the Super Smash Bros. Series. Like many NIWA inductees, Nookipedia was founded on Wikia in August 2005 under the name Animal Crossing City. Five years later, through a merge with an external, independent wiki, Nookipedia itself became independent. Nookipedia, under its previous name, Animal Crossing Wiki, was officially inducted into the Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance as the organization's fourteenth wiki on November 19, 2010. Nookipedia celebrated their name change with a new layout on January 1, 2011.
