Captain Skull Keeta is the leader of the Stalchild army that defended Ikana during the war.^[1] When Link met him, he was sleeping in Ikana Graveyard. After awakening him with the Sonata of Awakening, he "challenged" Link to race him and beat him in a fight.

When the battle begins he'll run away, and Link has got to chase him and hit him before he reaches the end of the trail. Fire barriers and Stalchildren will hinder you, and you have to defeat them to proceed. Once you've caught up with Captain Skull Keeta (arrows are an excellent way to stall him, as he'll turn around to see what hit him), hit him with your sword. Soon he'll try to squish you with his rear, and he will also use slash attacks. Once Captain Skull Keeta is defeated, he will admit defeat and give you his soul held within the Captain's Hat. Use the Hookshot on the chest at the end of the trail to get it, or if Link does not yet possess the Hookshot, use the Bunny Hood to try and jump over the gap; this is harder but still possible.
