The Babusu are shadow beings of the Dark World usually found in moist and cold climates of dungeons in A Link to the Past. They live in hordes, and make their homes inside holes in the walls of the dungeon. When they sense an enemy, they will drop out of the hole one at a time to harass them. It has been said by Link that Babusu hoards travel in innumerable masses, and that the best option when confronted by these creatures is to flee from the hole, although the Babusu are weak just by themselves, taking one swing of a sword to destroy. Babusu, being composed of shadow-like substances, are completely black except for their eyes, which are a bright red. A similar enemy appears in Majora's Mask, called a Black Boe, but if the two are related enemies is unknown.
