Alfonzo's Train
From Zelda Wiki, the Zelda encyclopedia
Alfonzo's Train is, as its name suggests, the train owned and operated by Alfonzo, a Royal Engineer from Spirit Tracks. It is a simple train made of wood that only consists of the engine and the passenger car.
As his final train engineer exam, Link must use Alfonzo's train to reach Hyrule Castle from Aboda Village in less than 300 seconds.[1] During the trip is when Alfonzo reminds Link on how to control a train, such as how to speed up, slow down, change tracks, and blow the whistle.
After Link receives his Engineer Certificate from Princess Zelda, the young hero returns to Alfonzo with the princess. Zelda explains that she wishes for Alfonzo to accompany them to the Tower of Spirits on his train and learn the true reason as to why the Spirit Tracks have begun to disappear. Alfonzo, although at first hesitant, agrees to take the princess to the tower; however, on the way to the tower, the Spirit Tracks they are riding on start to disappear beneath them, causing Link to use the emergency breaks. Chancellor Cole and Byrne appear after the Tower of Spirits breaks apart and kill Zelda, taking her physical body but not her spirit. After this scene, Alfonzo's train is not used or seen for the rest of the game. Despite this, Link can buy the Wooden Train Train Cars from Linebeck III's trading company in the Trading Post, which greatly resembles Alfonzo's train.
Trivia
